Hello all,
We have now sorted through the photos that were received. This was done by putting the photos through an internal judging process whereby a panel of judges comprising of 9 members from our team scrutinized each of the 6,500 photos and gave each a rating. Below are the details of this panel of judges as well as the process of rating.
The selected panel of judges from our team are:

The judging process
Each judge was given secure access to the photos database where they were able to view and rate one photograph at a time. No other details were shown to the judges. The rating was done using the gradient bar below.

Judges were asked to rate each photo for their relevance to the 350 project. Highest relevance would be in the red zone and lowest in the blue zone.
After rating was completed (in about 4 days) the top 4,000 photos were chosen as a sample to generate a short-listing. The following rules were then applied to this selection:
- The highest rated photograph from each photographer was selected
- If this photo was found to be irrelevant to the 350 project then another photo from the same photographer was chosen to give him/her a chance in the final selection
Up Next
We are now shortlisting from the selection of the top 4,000 photos based on ranking in the previously mentioned rating and by our resident photo curator and judge Umair Badeeu.
